ANNOUNCING OMNI’S MOST ORIGINAL WORKSHOP YET!

Omni Makerspace

Presented Dr. Liese Murphree, Director of STEM Sparks. Dr. Murphree is a former CSUMB Professor of Science, and is presently an education specialist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium

This Omni Makerspace workshop will strengthen kids’ natural skills in innovation while nurturing their curiosity and creativity. In this Science-Technology-Engineering-Math interactive, interdisciplinary workshop, students will imagine, design, and create projects to solve problems and build fundamental concepts of physics and engineering along the way.

Students will work together on activities to notice the design of objects in their world. They will deconstruct machines and apply their new knowledge to design and build inventive, unique, and different “inventions” which will teach them the practical applications of emerging technologies.

Because of its unique nature and profound interest, this workshop will fill up quickly, by students, who are willing to let their imaginations soar and who refuse to be bound by conventional limitations.
