It’s almost impossible to know where humanity is headed unless we know where we’ve come from. This semester, we’ll travel from the very beginnings
of civilization, starting with Mesopotamia, to three remarkable historical epochs that continue to have a profound influence on our lives today:
ancient Egypt, the land of the Pharaohs; the glory that was Greece; and the grandeur that was Rome. We’ll explore every facet of life from humble beginnings
to world powerhouses: art, politics, philosophy, recreation, law, food, society, engineering, and so much more. It’s a wonderous journey that will impact the
the lives of all of us – today, tomorrow, and forever. Students won’t want to miss a single moment of this epic adventure.
