History, Geography, and Resources of our Golden State

Our Omnibus class will cover a panorama of the most exciting state in the United States! We’ll immerse ourselves in history – the missions, the gold rush, and the tiny pueblo of Los Angeles, that grew into the country’s second largest city. We’ll learn about the incredible geographic and cultural diversity which has resulted in California becoming the 5th largest economy in the entire world! This can be attributed to our vast agricultural output, caused by a project that diverted enough water to change California from a desert into a 163,600 square-mile oasis. Then there’s our defense industries, our leadership in the computer revolution, our dominance of the world’s music and entertainment industries, and our educational facilities and opportunities. The list goes on and on. And you’ll even discover that California once had its own emperor! You won’t want to miss a single moment of this exhilarating journey.
